KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 13th August 2015 – Home-grown media veteran, Monica Mong is appointed as the Managing Editor of L’OFFICIEL MALAYSIA. The first issue of L'OFFICIEL Malaysia will be out on all newsstands in September 2015.

Having worked with many of the world’s top fashion designers and models, Heart Media today announces that Monica Mong will take the helm of the much anticipated L’OFFICIEL Malaysia.

A graduate from Universiti Sains Malaysia’s Bachelor of Communication program with a major in journalism, Monica Mong first cut her teeth as a writer for two years at Cittá Bella, before moving to VMAGAZINE Malaysia where she spent three years as a fashion writer and a fashion stylist. In the last seven years, Monica Mong has since honed her eye for fashion during her time as the Fashion Director for NUYOU Malaysia.

I am thrilled and excited about the launch of L’OFFICIEL Malaysia. My take on the magazine will be an homage to the world it represented to me in my youth, and to the idea of dream living created by the fashion magazines, which pretty much will capture the L’OFFICIEL aesthetic - dare to be different.”, comments Monica Mong about her new role as Managing Editor, and her plans on the creative and editorial direction of L’OFFICIEL Malaysia.

Known for its sophisticated covers, stylistic fashion spreads and witty reportage, L’OFFICIEL is recognized as the authority on luxury fashion all across the world. First published in 1921 in Paris by the Jalou Media Group, L’OFFICIEL Malaysia will debut its launch issue in September under the direction of Asia’s Fastest Rising Media Publishing house – Heart Media.

L’OFFICIEL Malaysia will be published ten times a year from September 2015, with a combined bi-monthly issue in June-July, and Dec-Jan, and will contain a strong focus on fashion news from the major fashion weeks around the world, with the sophisticated Malaysian female reader in mind. A digital edition of L’OFFICIEL Malaysia will also be available for download via Magzter on both the Apple and Google Play store and newsstands.

Alongside the much anticipated launch of L’OFFICIEL in Malaysia, a dedicated online platform, www.LOFFICIELMalaysia.com will also be unveiled. www.LOFFICIELMalaysia.com will provide readers with multiple relevant fashion and luxury lifestyle stories daily, from around the region and beyond.
